Progress, 16x20, Oil on Linen
It so happened that the Union Depot was celebrating its grand opening while I was a few blocks up the street painting the construction site of the new Lafayette Bridge. Just as the sun dropped below the old bridge, the skylights went on in the newly renovated depot. The building in the right of the painting is an old commodities warehouse that was turned into living workspaces. This building is dear to me because it's where I lived and worked when I moved to Saint Paul in 1990.
